Academy graduates Jack Brownell, Dylan Parkin and Jay Smith have signed the contracts offered to them at the end of last season.
Midfielder Brownell made his debut as a substitute against Charlton Athletic in the final home game of last season.
Parkin, who is a keeper, was an unused substitute on a number of occasions last term while defender Smith saw his progress hampered by injury problems.
With Ricky German, Joe Rowley and Charlie Wakefield also progressing to the professional ranks, it has been a highly productive 12 months for the academy.
Academy manager Mark Smith said: "We worked with a particularly good group of youngsters last season and I am delighted to see so many of them taken on as professionals.
"This highlights the good work being done by all the coaches working in the academy who deserve credit. Our remit is to produce players for the first-team squad and it is very pleasing to see us exceed our target.
"For the players who have been taken on, this is only the start of their journey and they need to work hard in pre-season and beyond if they are to have successful careers in the game."
