Chesterfield compete for the G F Tomlinson Group Cup this evening, when they take on Buxton FC at Silverlands, 7.30pm.
As well as being Chesterfield's valued shirt sponsors, G F Tomlinson Group also sponsor Buxton, so it is a good fit for the Derbyshire-based construction company to act as title sponsors for the trophy.
Andy Hughes, G F Tomlinson Group's director and general manager, is looking forward to the match. He said: “As a local company, we are committed to supporting the local community wherever possible and we are proud to sponsor both Chesterfield and Buxton.
The match is the Spireites’ third pre-season fixture of the week having already beaten Sheffield FC 4-1 on Tuesday and also Matlock Town 4-0 last night.
Tonight’s fixture is also the final chance for Spireites supporters to see the players in action, before they depart to their week-long training camp in Spain on Sunday.
As was the case with the two previous friendlies, manager Gary Caldwell will field two XIs in the match at Silverlands with all summer signings bar Chris O’Grady set to feature.
Admission for the fixture is as follows: -
• Adults: £8
• Concessions (Over 60s & U16s): £5
• U16s who accompany an adult are eligible for free admission.
Supporters that are unable to attend the match this evening can keep up to date with the action by following the club website as well as our Twitter and Facebook pages.
There will also be post-match reaction on iFollow later in the evening.
