With the transfer window closing next Tuesday, Spireites boss Gary Caldwell says that he's close to adding to his squad.
Caldwell said: "I think we're getting closer on one or two things. We don't want to rush in and bring the wrong player to the club. Come Tuesday, I'm sure there will be different faces at this football club.
"We're working very hard to do that and working hard to make sure it is the right ones who can help us until the end of the season and beyond. We have to try and make the squad stronger so if we can do good business and bring in more bodies than go out, then that will be great."
Caldwell has reiterated that he does not want to keep any player who wants to leave. He said: "There have been a couple of outs already and those players wanted to go for different reasons. I'm not going to stand in anyone's way if they don't want to be here.
"If they don't want fight for this club, then I'm willing to let them go at the right price for the football club. We'll look to try and get people in to replace them and add quality to the group."
One player who is set to stay at the Proact is keeper Lloyd Allinson, whose short-term contract is due to to expire. "Lloyd will remain at the club," added Caldwell.
