Millwall vs Chesterfield - Away Supporters Coach Information

Information received from the Metropolitan Police for the below Chesterfield FC away fixture on Tuesday, February 21.

Useful directions (Please allow extra travel time especially when travelling through the City and rush hour periods)

From the Blackwall Tunnel, stay on the A102 (M) for 1.9 miles, then exit at sign post for “Central London, A2”. Go straight on for 2.2 miles, following the signs for New Cross.

After passing Greenwich Magistrates Court (on your right), go under the railway-bridge, and continue along New Cross Road around the one-way system. 

Continue along New Cross Road, over a railway bridge, past the bus garage on your left. 

Onto Queens Road then follow one-way system onto Kender Street go straight until second set of lights then turn left onto New Cross Road / Old Kent Road. 

Then turn right at the next main traffic light junction onto Ilderton Road. Then take the fifth turning on the right, which is Stockholm Road at which point you will be at Millwall FC. 

Visiting Coaches

Supporters coaches are asked to travel directly to the ground where they will be met by club stewards and then directed to the coach parking at the North Stand where they will remain (next to the away stand) for the duration of the game. 

Looking at various traffic sites on the internet there is a potential for roadworks on the M1 Motorway post-match, these may include some lane closures Northbound.

21, 53, 172, to Old Kent Road, P12 to Ilderton Road, 1 & 381 to Rotherhithe New Road, 47, 188, 225 to Surrey Quays. Visit www.tfl.gov.uk to plan your journey easily.

Private Vehicles

Parking in the vicinity of the ground is very limited and is usually taken by local residents, parking restrictions are in place on match days and vehicles parked illegally will be towed away. 

Millwall FC has no car parking facilities for supporters and it is recommended that away supporters travel to the ground by official coach or by rail to South Bermondsey. A walkway link is available to the stadium on match days for away supporters from the away section. 

Visiting supporters are advised not to leave any type of team colours or insignia on display in their vehicle. 

Please do not leave anything of value on display, lock your vehicle – Prevent and help to deter car crime.
