Deadline Day signing Osman Kakay arrived at the Proact on a loan deal until the end of the season. Here’s a little insight into the Spireites new right-back.
Name: Osman Jovan Kakay
D.O.B: August 25, 1997.
Place of Birth: Westminster, London.
Career: QPR, Livingston (loan).
Kakay made his QPR debut on August 23, in their 2-1 EFL Cup victory over Rochdale. He also featured in the third round of the competition, a 2-1 home defeat to Sunderland. His first ever Championship appearance came on December 27, away at Brighton and Hove Albion.
And during the second half of last season, he had a loan spell at Livingston in the Scottish Championship where he featured 12 times.
Kakay gave us a little background into his career so far during his first interview with PlayerHD, he said: “I’m from North West London and have been at QPR since the age of eight.
"I came through the ranks and this season I broke through, I made my debut for QPR during the first half of the season.”
Having been at QPR since such a young age and being a local lad you’d believe he was an R’s fan but they’re not the only team close to his heart.
He said: “Yes maybe, but there’s another team – Manchester United.”
Outside of football, Kakay has plenty of other interests and hobbies. “I like hanging round, watching TV, and reading books as well – I’ve just finished Joey Barton’s. I’m into my music, I really like R&B and hip-hop,” added the defender.
