Chesterfield players Ched Evans and Tommy Lee made a special appearance at the Community Trust’s Soccer School held at St Mary’s Catholic High School last Thursday.
Both Evans and Lee, participated in a question and answer session from both fans aged 5-11 and members of the Chesterfield Ladies FC junior teams.
The questions asked by the participants covered various topics including players’ diet, the best grounds that players had played at, along with one or two more ‘interesting’ ones.
During the week all the participants received professional coaching from the Community Trust staff, on the necessary skills, as well as taking part in matches and other football related activities.
A good time was had by all, especially the players themselves.
Lee said: “It’s always good to come out to the Community and talk to the children.
“We had some interesting questions from the kids – you’re never quite sure what you’re going to get – but it’s normally all good fun.”
While striker Evans said: “It’s been a really enjoyable visit, with some interesting questions. It was a pleasure to come down here.”
