David Faupala is itching to get his Spireites career started and expressed his delight at joining the club in his first interview with PlayerHD.
“I’m very happy to be here and I’m very excited to start playing. I saw a game of Chesterfield’s online so I can’t wait to get started,” Faupala said.
Faupala joined on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season. He’s played one first team game for them which came in last year’s FA Cup where he scored City’s equaliser at Stamford Bridge, albeit in vain as they lost 5-1.
The striker arrives with plenty of advice in his locker from the likes of Sergio Aguero and other City players.
He said: “Yes they spoke to me, especially the French guys at City, Wilfried Bony as well.”
The 19 year-old also gave us an insight into his style of play and his life so far.
“I’m good in the air, I can protect the ball and I can play as a no.10.
“I’ve been here one and a half years now, I’m originally from the north of France, just between Lens and Lille.”
The striker is set to feature against Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
