There is a rare opportunity for a Spireite to own a priceless piece of Chesterfield FC memorabilia, which will be auctioned on Boxing Day.
Before the game against Crewe Alexandra, an autographed FA Cup semi-final presentation frame will be sold in the SBK Computers Spires Restaurant to the highest bidder, with all fans having the opportunity to make a pre-auction bid.
The limited edition presentation frame is one of only 11 to be produced and features the match programmes from both original games alongside a personally signed photo of each of the the goal scorers at Old Trafford: Andy Morris, Sean Dyche and Jamie Hewitt. These have been all been mounted and framed, alongside an engraved plaque, which has been individually numbered.
This fantastic souvenir of that magical day has been produced by the Vintage Programme Shop, which is a social enterprise set up by the Chesterfield FC Community Trust's Traineeship course for 16-18 year olds who are not in education, employment or training.
The purpose is to give these young people practical experience of running a small business, with the aim of raising money to fund the Trust's charitable activities within communities in North Derbyshire. All profits go to the Trust, with a percentage put aside as a dividend pot to incentivise and reward the Trainees for their work on the initiative.
