Chesterfield have signed Jordan Flores from Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan.
Flores, 21, is a versatile player who can play either in midfield or on the left-hand side of defence.
Manager Gary Caldwell, who gave Flores his debut when he was manager of Wigan, said: "He's somebody I know really well and I've seen him develop into a very talented player.
"Jordan can play in a number of positions, which I always like as it gives us other options.
"He won the league with Wigan and also won promotion with Blackpool last season, so he knows what success tastes like."
Flores said: "I'm looking forward to getting some games under my belt and hopefully having a successful season.
"There are some good players here and I like the way the gaffer plays."
Born in Wigan, Flores scored three goals in 21 appearances while on loan at Blackpool last season. His solitary appearance so far this term came when he scored for Wigan in their Carabao Cup victory over Blackpool ten days ago.
