Our fixture with Port Vale at the Proact this Saturday, is our designated Kick it Out fixture, and there's plenty going on throughout the day!
The Kick It Out campaign has been running since 1993, and tackles racism and discrimination in football, and throughout the 2016/17 season, Kick It Out is running an initiative – Call Full Time On Hate – which aims to utilise and engage the collective force of football, to tackle discrimination and hate incidents at every level of the game.
The initiative also seeks to highlight the positive messages of inclusion echoed by the football authorities, clubs, players, managers and supporters’ groups. Chesterfield FC are fully behind #CallFullTimeOnHate, and the Spireites players will be showing their support for the campaign, by wearing the 'Kick it Out' t-shirts, during their pre-match warm ups.
Feeling peckish? We also have a world buffet being served in the Ernie Moss room (located in the Hub) from 1.30pm.
The buffet will feature dishes and delicacies from different cultures, all of which will be prepared by members of the local community, taking in numerous cultural backgrounds.
There'll be much more going on during the day, for further information please contact the Community Trust, and to find out more about Kick It Out's history, objectives and future initiatives visit www.kickitout.org
