Saturday is ‘Bring a £1 for the Community Trust Day’ and there will be collectors around the stadium before the game and at half time.
The collectors will be from one of the Trust’s partners: Chesterfield Ladies FC.
The Trust work with a variety of people in Chesterfield and North Derbyshire aged 2–75, inspiring people through a range of sporting, educational and community-based activities. All of our projects and activities fall under one or more of our priority areas:
Sport and Physical Activity Education and Skills
Health and Well-being
Play and Toddler Activities
John Croot, chief executive of the Community Trust, said: “Our aim is to work in partnership with our communities to help develop a range of opportunities for all to improve the quality of life and outlook for individuals, groups and neighbourhoods in Chesterfield and the surrounding area.”
Player/coach Ritchie Humphreys said: “I have been involved with the Trust for a number of years, and have seen first-hand the fantastic work that they deliver. If you are in a position to donate to the Community Trust, then you can be assured that the money will be used to support people in our community.”
