The Spireites reserve team lost their first game of the season this lunchtime as they fell to a 3-1 defeat away to York City.
Defender Laurence Maguire scored another goal to open the scoring, but a Nick Kennedy goal and two more from a City trialist swung the game in the Minstermen's favour.
After the game Ritchie Humphreys could see the positives: "I was pleased with the way we played between the boxes. We consistently held a threat going forwards but unfortunately we struggled with the final ball.
"The result may not have been the one we were after but for the young players it was a good opportunity for them to mix with the older players as they take another step on their development."
