The Spireites have had no new injuries this week but still have four long-term absentees fighting their way back to full fitness.
Manager Danny Wilson has given his comment on the progress of the absent member of his squad, starting with Dan Jones.
"He's going back again on Friday evening to see the specialist again," said Wilson in his pre-AFC Wimbledon press conference on Thursday. "We thought it might be the screw in his foot, but we want a second opinion about what's happening.
"I can't be any clearer than that unfortunately, until he sees the specialist when we'll know a lot more.
"Dan's devastated, he just wants to get back playing. He's a fantastic pro, the hardest thing is that he works his tail off day-in day-out but he just can't get over this problem with his foot, it's a massive hindrance to him."
Also on the sidelines are Liam O'Neil, Angel Martinez and Tommy Lee, and there was more positive news there, with the trio working well towards recoveries.
"Liam's started jogging again," explained Wilson. "He's been okay. He's not been with the first team but with the physio still and a little bit with Mal (Purchase).
"It's the same with Angel, he's not quite doing as much yet, but he's progressing very well. His legs are getting stronger, particular in the injured area with his knee.
"Tommy's coming on great, he had a little bit of a niggle the other day but that seems to have eradicated itself. he seems great and very happy with the way things are going."
