The Spireites youth team bounced back emphatically from recent heavy defeats with a comfortable 4-0 victory away at Grimsby Town.
Joe Rowley scored from penalty spot before Charlie Wakefield scored to give the Spireites a two-goal cushion before the break.
Grimsby improved at the start of the second half but Mark Smith’s side managed to regain control and eventually scored two more goals through Mark McKenna and Joel Phillips rounded off the victory.
Smith said: “It was a good performance and hopefully it’s got rid of the negativity from the last two or three weeks.
“It took us about 15 to 20 minutes to get our noses in front and then we kicked on and got the second before the break.
"We didn’t want half time to come because we were really playing well then and if it had gone on a little bit longer we might have put the game to bed. The second half was a bit of a battle but it was pretty comfortable in the end.
“Hopefully the confidence is back. You’re never 100% happy because you’re always looking for a bit more but confidence should be back and we have a big game in the FA Youth Cup on Thursday so at least we’re going into it on the back of a convincing victory.”
