Danny Wilson said that Bradford City deserved their win after the Bantams earned a 1-0 win at the Proact on Saturday.Billy Clarke's first-half strike confirmed the points, but Wilson conceded that the West Yorkshire outfit were worthy winners on the day.
"The difference, from my point of view, was their experience," he said. "It showed in some of some areas that we lacked that experience and games which one or two have played.
"We were caught on numerous occasions and with lads who have not played at this level it's very difficult to put it together week-in week-out.
"We had a tremendous performance against Gillingham, but today we were unable to replicate that. I think they were the better team and sometimes you have to hold you hands up - there were the better team and they caused us far more problems than we caused them.
"We still finished 1-0. We managed to have a few opportunities, a couple in the first half and a couple in the second and if we'd converted one of them we could have come away with a draw, but if we'd done that they wouldn't have been too happy."
With next weekend's Coventry City game cancelled due to international call-ups, Wilson is happy for his side to get the chance to rest and recuperate.
"It's going to be a godsend for us that, particularly with the injury problems that we've got. It just gives us that little bit of rest-bite in the meantime.
"Yes, we've got the Accrington game but hopefully we can get a bit of rest, patch up one or two and get them ready for the next game at Southend."
