Chesterfield FC Community Trust have been working with the Premier League Girls project that has overseen almost 200 new players taking up football - and the Spireites win an intercity tournament.
The trust have been delivering free football sessions to five secondary schools in Chesterfield: Tupton Hall, Outwood Academy, Heritage High, Bolsover School and Frederick Gents.
As a result of its success, Chesterfield sent two teams of girls to an intercity tournament where the likes of Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley all sent teams.
One of the team representing Chesterfield won the tournament which was the club's third successive victory in the competition.
The trust have also been involved working with primary school girls as well and there were 53 primary school aged girls who participated in that same tournament.
