What did you make of the match report for Tuesday's FA Youth Cup match with Carlisle United? Well, it was written by Spireites goalkeeper Tommy Lee!

The Chesterfield number one is completing a broadcast journalism degree at Staffordshire University and is currently on a work placement at the Proact - while not training as he makes his recovery from a shoulder injury.

On Tuesday, Lee was in the press box for the first time, reporting on the youth team's cup clash with Carlisle United alongside digital media editor Iain Pearce.

"I enjoyed it, other than the result," said Lee of his midweek media experience. "I thought the lads were a little bit unlucky but it was nice to be on the other side of things and see what the media get up to on a matchday.

"There were difficulties, it's tough writing down the action when there's still action going on. You miss little things and you need to rely on other people to find out the names of the player who scored, had a chance and things like that.

"The course is going well, I've nearly completed it now with just six months left. I'm doing my second work placement now at the club with Iain and Nick in the media department and it's going well."
