The East Stand at the Proact will now be open as usual for home supporters for the FA Cup second round fixture with Wycombe Wanderers. The match has now been confirmed as taking place on Saturday, December 3 (3pm kick-off) with reduced ticket prices of £10 for adults and £5 for concessions for the match.
Explaining the reasons for the decision, CFC chief executive Chris Turner said: "After making the ticket announcement yesterday we received feedback from fans via our supporter liaison officer, Stephen Kerry, with some fans wishing to sit in the East Stand for the game.
"With that in mind the stand will now be open for the game, allowing season ticket holders to sit in their usual seats and for other fans to join them.
"Our initial decision to keep the East Stand closed was taken for economical and practical reasons. Looking back at recent FA Cup games here, attendances have been lower and it was felt that closing the East Stand would create a better atmosphere in other parts of the ground as well as being a cost saving for the club."
Tickets for the match go on sale on Monday, with hospitality packages also available.
