As he continues the search for the right Spireites squad to start 2016/17 with, Danny Wilson outlines the sorts of players he'd looking to make up his team.
The Spireites avoided relegation by seven points in the last campaign and Wilson is keen to find and bring in the sort of players who will help to lay the groundwork for a better season from August 6.
Wilson explained: "League One is a very uncompromising league, it's very tough, so first and foremost you look for physicality - and if you don't have physicality you have to have an unbelievable talent to play.
"You have to be able to mentally cope with the rigours of a 46 game season, as well as all the cup competitions that come with it, but more importantly you have to be able to come through that physically.
"You want a young, enthusiastic squad full of up-and-coming players who are ready to be moulded into what you want, coupled with the quality and experience of some other players."
The Spireites boss has already made a summer recruit in 26-year-old striker Kristian Dennis, and Wilson says that the striker has just the sort of attitude he wants in his squad.
He said: "We want a hungry young team with players who want to play. We've got Kristian Dennis from Macclesfield and he's the type that we're looking for.
"Not necessarily coming out of the non-league, but someone who comes in really determined to do well and with everybody else able to see that enthusiasm to make themselves a good league player."
