Sam Hird was the big winner from the Player of the Year Awards last night as the fans voted him their best Spireites player for 2015/16.
As well as the top gong, Hird was also presented with three seperate sponsors' player of the year trophies from SBK Computers, NAPIT and True Blue Travel.
After receiving all of his trophies, Hird gave his reaction: "It's great to win all the awards, it's a privilege to be so many people's player of the year, but the main award for me, the fans and the whole club in general was to stay in League One for another season.
"It's an honour to get those votes from the fans and while it is great for me I have to thank my team-mates as well for helping me to be consistent throughout the season and put in the performances that I have.
"These awards will be going in my trophy cabinet at home, they'll always be something I cherish. I'll have a drink and enjoy the awards tonight, enjoy the summer with my wife and kids and then come back for pre-season with the manager and the staff, ready to work hard and push on again next season."
The centre-back's boss, Danny Wilson, was just as pleased with the contribution to the side from Hird, with the Spireites manager paying tribute to his man.
"If you look at this season in terms of results, he's been the stand out on a week-in, week-out basis," commented Wilson. "With Sam, it's been a very successful season for him - he's been consistent and if you give marks out of ten he's been a seven every week. That's what you look for in every department of your team.
"Sam's had different partners every week. Since I've been here we've had injuries, loans have come in, full-backs in centre-back positions and vice-versa and to keep his quality of performance up has been very difficult.
"Sam's managed that superbly well so I've been delighted with his contributions."
