If you're aged 5-16 then don't miss the chance to play on the Proact pitch later this month with the CFC Community Trust Soccer School.

On Tuesday, May 31 all young and budding Spireites are invited along for a morning of fun and football, all on the pitch at the Proact and at a cost of £10 per child.

The morning starts with registration at 9:30am followed by an hour of training with a technique and skills masterclass, led by the Community Trust's FA qualified coaches.

The second hour will see a Euro 2016-themed tournament and a chance for the players to put their newly-learned skills into practice in matches, before the participants are ready for collection at 11:30am.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch the Soccer School throughout the morning, with Chester the Fieldmouse also around throughout the day to cheer on the young players.

Michael Noon, sport and activity officer with the Trust, said: "It promises to be a really top morning and we're all really looking forward to it. The focus is on fun and we're sure that all able to come along will have a great time.

"We've even got a raffle where one lucky winner will go home with a signed Spireites shirt. So if you have plans on being the next Jay O'Shea or Gboly Ariyibi then bring your boots and shinpads along and make sure you're playing on the Proact with us!"

Pre-booking is essential with places already filling up for the event. To book call the Community Trust on 01246 264030, pop into The HUB or email
