Come to the Proact Tomorrow and Learn to Save a Life

19 May 2016

Spireites fan or not, come to the Proact tomorrow morning to help break the World Record for the biggest ever first aid lesson - on the pitch at the Proact.

Starting at 10am, the British Heart Foundation-backed attempt is hoping to smash the record of 1,700 people taking part in such an event, with the attempt to be officially-recognised if successful.

There will be school and youth groups coming along to try and make history, but also members of the public and Spireites supporters there to help learn essential lifesaving skills.

It is completely FREE to get involved and all are encouraged to come and make the world record attempt a successful one.

Organiser Cheryle Berry identified the importance of the day: "These are the kind of things that just could happen every day, but sadly people often don't know what to do in an emergency and we know every year people die unnecessarily because there are a few simple things people don't know to do.

"Please come along and on the day, there will be plenty of people who will be able to show you where to get in to the stadium and how to join in."
