Spireites chief executive Chris Turner has revealed that further transfer activity is expected in the near future.Striker Kristian Dennis and midfielder Jon Nolan have already been signed since the end of the season and Turner expects to see other new arrivals put pen to paper at the Proact soon. He said: "We'll be bringing in a number of other players and two players are very close to coming to the club."
Turner has not ruled-out the possibility of signing Lee Novak, who scored 15 goals during a season-long loan from Birmingham City, commenting: "We'd like Lee Novak, but Lee and his agent are looking at various options, as they are entitled to."
Turner believes that Dennis and Nolan will be eager to prove themselves in the Football League after starring for Macclesfield Town and Grimsby Town respectively in the Conference last term. "Kristian scored 29 goals in 45 appearances while Jon was one of the best midfielders in the Conference last season, if not the best," he said.
"There are plenty of players in non-league who are well capable of playing in the Football League. There are players in non-league with the desire and hunger to improve their status."
