Forget goal of the month, this week Lee Novak and Jay O'Shea have struck with two brilliant long range efforts to secure four points for the Spireites.
It started last Saturday when Novak picked his spot and thrashed home an unstoppable drive into the top corner against Gillingham, a goal that turned out to be the match winner.
Back in Derbyshire, the top corner at the Proact was also in danger and O'Shea won the Spireites a point from Blackpool by posting a wonderful strike into the postage stamp.
After the Gills game manager Danny Wilson gave his reaction to Novak's goal: "It was out of the top drawer, wasn't it? We were right behind it and as soon as it left his boot we knew the 'keeper wasn't going to save it, he had no chance."
First-team coach Chris Morgan was equally as impressed with O'Shea's Tangerines strike: "Jay's been excellent, he came on at Gillingham and did a job for us and was the same the other night. It was a wonderful goal and it's a goal that we see Jay score in training, we know he's got that type of ability.
"You can see the response of the other players as well when he scores the goal - they're all up and celebrating with him."
