Chesterfield Football Club are pleased to announce that the Child Foundation will be the club's official charity partner for the 2016/17 season.
Taking over from Ashgate Hospicecare, who the Spireites had as their maiden chaity partner last year, the Chiild Foundation will this season benefit from the support that the Spireites can give the charity.
The Child Foundation helps children with disabilities and terminal illness, as well as assisting their family by providing grants and equipment otherwise not available.
Ahead of the official announcement, the charity's founder Karen Child spoke about the link-up: "I know that Chesterfield Football Club have always been really good with me, whenever we've had any events we've often had them here for the Foundation.
"They've always tried to help out as much as they can and now we can get the name out there more and that will be great for the Foundation.
"We have had a few events planned for this year, we have a golf day at Bondhay Golf Club on August 26, we have a Derbyshire Best Singer event, which we had the auditions for at the Proact recently, and we have the finals here is September.
"Now I'm looking forward to the new season, we've got some good new signings by the sounds of things so I can't wiat."
