First-team coach Chris Morgan has spoken about the side's strike-power following Kristian Dennis' two-goal display at Matlock Town last night and the introduction of a couple of youngsters.Morgan said: “Dennis’ movement is excellent and I think he has got a real good habit of scoring goals. Let's face it, as a centre forward, that is a good habit to have.
“It was funny, when he scored the second goal, the gaffer said to me he’s hardly had a touch all half, yet he's scored two goals.
“Kristian is working hard, he is trying to impress - the same as Rai Simmons - and I thought they were a handful for the Matlock defenders.
“We also put young Ricky German and Curtis Morrison on too and they have got a bit of pace, a bit of power and a rawness about them.
“From a defender's point of view, they don't like playing against pace and power. Certainly at times, Curtis and Ricky, as a second year scholar and a first year pro respectively, showed that in abundance, so it is exciting.”
