The Spireites' 150th anniversary sign is due to be in place above the Proact Stadium's main entrance before the first match of the EFL season.

After the deadline for supporters' names to be engraved on the special sign was extended, the installation date was also pushed back, with the work now booked to take place in the first week of August.

It means that the anniversary sign will be up and in place ahead of the Spireites' opening home match with Swindon Town on Saturday, August 13.

The sign will hang on the front of the Proact throughout the upcoming season before being moved to a lower level in the summer of 2017, so that supporters will be able to have their photos with it.
