In a new regular feature we look at this week in the Spireites' history, charting some of the lows and in this case a very high score from the near 150 years of Chesterfield FC.

2012: January 18 was a famous night at the Proact as the Spireites beat Oldham Athletic 2-1 in the first leg of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Northern Section Final.

Scott Boden got the first goal of the night just after the break, before Danny Whitaker scored the winner from the penalty spot in the 67th minute; either side of a Robbie Simspon equaliser.

The Spireites went onto to win the second leg 1-0 to secure their place at Wembley before memorably beating Swindon Town 2-0 in the final to get their hands on the trophy.

1903: The Spireites celebrated their biggest ever win on January 17, 1903 as they beat Glossop North End 10-0.

A hat-trick for Paddy Munday put them on their way and there were braces for William Steel, Leonard Newton, Isaac Tomlinson and a goal for Herbert Munday to wrap up the record win.
