The Spireites reserve team is back in action tomorrow as the players travel to Gateshead FC for a 2pm kick-off in the Final Third Development League.
The game will take place at the Durham Football County Association (postcode: DH3 3SJ).
Ritchie Humphreys will take charge of the team for the game and is looking to improve on the reserves' last game with Notts County, which finished 2-2.
He said: “The team will be a mixture of the younger pros and some of the youth team players, which will be a great experience for them, playing in a competitive game with professionals against a full-time team.
"We want to build on some of the good stuff we did against Notts County. We should have seen the game out really but we found ourselves having to score in the last minute to get a draw, but it’s a positive that we have players learning the game and always have that underlying desire to win.
"I’ve worked with the new manager Danny Wilson a few times, so I’m aware of his ideas and philosophies and I’m trying to replicate that in the reserves.
"We also train together every day so they should be picking that up as well - we want the players to go and express themselves and then I can report back to the manager.
"We’ve all had to do that, the likes of Chris Morgan and the senior players, it’s all about growing up, showing a calmness in possession and a will to win.”
