A ground breaking deal has been agreed with MD Vision which will see the installation of digital perimeter signage all around the television arc at the Proact Stadium in June 2016.

The digital perimeter boards will be positioned pitch-side on the HTM Products (West) Stand and on the Karen Child (South) Stand and Rubicon Print (North) Stand.

Tony Ford, head of commercial for MD Vision, commented: “This is phase two of the project following on from the digital scoreboard installation in December 2014. We are delighted that our partnership with the club is further strengthened in this way and believe that the stadium will be among the league’s highest specification arenas for digital technology and signage.”

The digiboards (which incorporates the same technology as many of the Premier League clubs' perimeter boards) will include several safety features designed specifically for the club.

Chesterfield's head of commercial & marketing, Kevin Fitzgerald, said: “This is exciting news for Chesterfield Football Club, its commercial partners and supporters. This is a project that we have been looking to do at the Proact Stadium since the end of 2014 and I’m very pleased to say that we are finally over the line with it. You only have to walk into the Proact Stadium on any matchday to see the fantastic support that we have from companies who advertise with us via advertising boards.

“The digital perimeter signage will not only help the club increase advertising revenue, but it is designed to give even more exposure to those companies who advertise with us. Their brand/company logo will appear all around the TV arc of the pitch at any one time. The advertising will be even more noticeable to all the supporters sitting in the Proact Stadium on a matchday.

“We have also had the digital perimeter boards specifically designed to discourage supporters invading the pitch as we have seen recently when we played Coventry City. The boards will be much taller and wider than the current static boards that we have in place.

"The digital boards will also have a special hinge placed on them at certain points so that the boards will be displayed consecutively around the pitch, unlike now where there are gaps visible pitch-side. We are the first club outside the top two divisions to fully enhance this type of technology and we are very excited to be going down this route."

Any company interested in taking out advertising on the digital perimeter boards should contact the commercial department.
