Saturday's trip to Wigan Athletic marked the first Chester's Away Day, with a coach filled with 50 young supporters travelling for a special day of watching the Spireites.Chester the Field Mouse was busy throughout the day helping to make sure the kids had as much fun as possible, and took some time to talk about his latest adventure.
"The day started early as we prepared all the food and my very important cheese sandwiches for the coach, then at 11am all the lively kids hopped aboard and it was time to head to the DW Stadium.
"There was no time for iPads or napping on the journey as we had two quizzes, a raffle and lots of fun for everyone on board - we even gave out some Spireites posters.
"My friends at Sainsbury's also donated a big heap of sweets, drinks and even some doughnuts so we were well fed by the time we arrived in Wigan.
"What a great place the DW Stadium is! We took up our seats in the away end while I met my chums Pheonix and Blue that Latics mascots. They are great mascots - but not as handsome as I am!
"I even got to run on the pitch as the players ran out, and I could see that Sam Morsy and the other players really wanted to win for all of us singing loudly in the away end, the atmosphere there was fantastic.
"Unfortunately, we couldn't quite win this time but we all cheered Ollie Banks's goal right in front of us, and with all the snow swirling around we still managed to have a great day - and driving home I handed out some prizes to cheer everyone up.
"There were some tired faces when we got off back at the Proact, and I have to admit I was straight into my mouse hole and to bed, hopefully we can have another Chester's Away Day soon!"
