New Spireites signing Gary Liddle says that reuniting with manager Danny Wilson was one of the major motivations behind joining the club on deadline day.
The 29-year-old midfielder had previously worked under the Spireites boss at Hartlepool United and says that joining up him again was an opportunity too good for him to turn down.
"I'm delighted," said Liddle, exclusively to PlayerHD. "It's been something that's been going on for a couple days then it came to fruition today - so I shot down from up north where I live and I'm glad it's all got sorted.
"The chance to work with the manager again really appealed to me and that's why I wanted to join this club. I won't be the only one saying this, but Danny's one of the best managers I've played for, he's one of the main factors in me coming here.
"I know Ritchie Humphreys as well and he's told me a lot about the club, now I'm hoping to build on that and hopefully there are good times ahead."
Liddle is fit and ready for selection for Saturday's home match with Peterborough United, and told PlayerHD about the abilities he has that the Proact supporters can look forward to watching.
"The type of player I am I like to pass the ball," he explained. "I was brought up at Middlesbrough and you learn the technical side of the game there, but in paying in this league for so long I can do the other side of the game and tackle and head.
"I like to bring all those qualities to the side and hopefully I can do that."
