After signing a contract and receiving league clearance the Spireites can now confirm the signing of striker Jordan Slew. The 23-year-old was unattached after leaving Cambridge United at the start of February and has signed with the Spireites until the end of the season.
Slew's new manager, Danny Wilson, commented on his latest signing, which follows hot-on-the-heels of loan arrival Declan John who joined the club on Wednesday.
"Jordan was unattached and he’s been training with us for a few weeks," said Wilson. "I’ve known him since his young days and I know what he’s capable of doing, so from that point of view, it was a no-brainer to bring him in on a deal until the end of the season.
"It’s down to him to prove that he’s worthy of a contract."
Slew - who will wear the number 32 for the Spireites - started his career at Sheffield United before as a teenager he moved to then Premier League side Blackburn Rovers for £1.1m. The striker has represented England at under 19 level.
