The Spireites have received the LG Performance of the Week award following Saturday's 1-0 victory over high-flying Bolton Wanderers.
The performance was selected by the League Managers Association’s five-man panel, comprising of LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.
The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.
Chesterfield manager Danny Wilson was presented with a trophy, together with a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, to commemorate the result.
Wilson said: "It's always nice when people recognise a good performance and result, like the one we had against a team of Bolton's calibre. I do feel that the performances in recent weeks have been good, without putting it together over 90 minutes, but we certainly did that against Bolton."
The presentation will be shown on the Sky Sports Gillette Soccer Saturday programme on Boxing Day.
