Matt Adams has taken over as the club's new digital media editor following the departure of Iain Pearce, who has left to join AFC Bournemouth.
"I would like to welcome Matt to the club and wish him all the best in his new role," said the club's head of media & communications, Nick Johnson. "He has some big shoes to fill as Iain did a fantastic job, but I have no doubt that he will thrive in his first full-time role at a club."
Matt, who hails from Stoke, gained a first-class degree in Sports Journalism Studies from Staffordshire University. He was a media and communications officer at the Cerebral Palsy Football World Champions and gained experience in the media department at Wolverhampton Wanderers and on the sports desk at The Independent newspaper.
He will be responsible for updating the club's website and social media channels, together with the Spireites Player video platform and official YouTube channel.
Commenting on his appointment, Matt said: "I'm very proud to have been appointed as digital media editor at Chesterfield FC. It's an exciting role and I'm looking forward to implementing my own ideas to the enhance the club's media coverage."
