The young Spireites returned to winning ways with a pleasing 2-1 win away from home at Rotherham United on Saturday.
After facing an early deficit, goals from strike partners Josh Tipping and Ricky German turned the game in the visitor's favour.
Academy manager Mark Smith gave feedback on the game: "We got there eventually, I wasn't happy with the first half performance, I thought we had too many players not in the right frame of mind.
"We went 1-0 down and had some hairy moments, but we were creating chances too, without playing well. Josh Tipping got us back into it with a good finish, he was nice, sharp and alert in the box.
"In the second half we went back to what we do well. We bossed the second half, had numerous chances. It seemed like it was going to be one of those days and then Ricky scored.
"He kept getting in but seemed to have too much time to think about it, whereas his goal was just instinct and probably the hardest chance he had in the whole game and he managed to put it away.
"We could have made it easier, but we didn't really have too many problems from there."
