'Total Sport' Back on PlayerHD This Season

24 August 2016

Peak FM presenter Tom Hilton is back with his Total Sport show this season, and PlayerHD subscribers can make sure they don't miss a kick throughout the Spireites' 2016/17 campaign.

PlayerHD is the only place online where you can here live commentary from every single Spireites game, and Tom quite rightly thinks that the Total Sport show is the best place to ride the inevitable ups and down with the club.

He explained: "It's something we're really pleased about because it gives us the opportunity to share what we think is a really good show with not only the rest of North Derbyshire but also those exiled Spireites.

"Last year we have listeners in Rio, who were sending us pictures of the view, which was way better than mine. It doesn't matter where in the world you are, you can listen to what we believe is the best coverage of Chesterfield Football Club you can hear,.

"We have the fastest reaction, you can hear the best in terms of commentary with us and it's exciting, I love it. I love the fact that we're on Spireites PlayerHD and it just strengthens our link with the club, which has grown stronger and stronger over the past couple of years."

New lead commentator Joe Rawson is sharing mic duties with the wizened Spireites brain of Phil Tooley this season, and with Tom in the chair back in the studio, the trio have plenty on exciting new features to entertain fans before, and after the 90 minutes.

"We're very excited to have Joe on board with the team and we have plenty of new bits and pieces as well, we have a new section in the first hour of the show where we look at Spireites legends from the past and talk to them about an important game or something they remember from their time at Chesterfield.

"It gives you a bit of nostalgia because, for me, that's what football's about as well," he said.
