Chesterfield have signed 22-year-old goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson on a six-month deal, with the player available to play for the club on Saturday. The 'keeper was released by Huddersfield Town in the summer after six years with the Terriers, and made two appearances for the Spireites during pre-season.
The appearances included a return to former club Ilkeston, where Allinson previously had two loan spells. Allinson will wear the number 21 shirt.
Speaking about the move, Allinson said: "I was asked to come on trial, ended up being here a week and a half, played two games at Ilkeston and Buxton and Matt Duke told me on Monday that the club wanted to sign me.
"I'm hoping to impress, it's only a shorts pace of time to do that, but I'm looking forward to getting my career rolling again."
