Chesterfield fans from across the world have already signed up to have their names engraved on the sign marking the sesquicentennial - 150th anniversary - of the Spireites.

The sign will take pride of place on the front of the Proact Stadium for the whole of the 2016/17 season, before being moved to a lower level in the summer of 2017 - and there's still time for fans to get involved.

The cost of having a name engraved on the sign is £20. This can be done by emailing or by phoning Stephen Kerry on 01246 269300 (ext 4122).

Brenda Clark is one fan who is looking forward to seeing her name up in lights: “With it being such an important anniversary for the club when I saw the idea and the picture of the big sign I wanted to be a part of it.

“Now I can’t wait until the sign’s up at the stadium - then I’ll be going along to see it quickly and looking for my name on it.”
