The upgrade to the club’s ticketing solution has been completed and the system was back up and running on Monday evening.
Spireites director Ashley Carson commented: “Following on from our last major upgrade last season, when our online ticketing site was revamped with a new design and sales process, we have been delighted to take advantage of the latest enhancements that have been provided by our ticketing partner, TopTix Sport.
“TopTix Sport are continually working on developing solutions that take advantage of new technology as it becomes available and the latest round of enhancements will enable the club to offer the best possible service to our fans.
“Our ticketing website has again been updated and is now ‘mobile responsive’, which means the pages throughout the site size correctly to a range of devices from desktop, tablet and mobile phones. This is an important step forward as the online buying trends show a dramatic increase in purchases via mobile devices generally and we are committed to taking advantage of these enhancements as they become available to help us drive our online sales of match tickets, travel products, season tickets, memberships and more.”
In addition fans will also now have the added option to choose to have their tickets delivered via email as print@home documents when buying tickets directly from the club’s ticket office phone lines or in person. The print@home option has been available for a number of seasons via the club’s online ticketing website but this is the first move to implement a similar option via our back office functions within the ticket office.
Supporters choosing to receive their tickets via email as a print@home attachment must of course ensure that they have the means to print each ticket to A4 paper prior to choosing this option. This is simply an additional option, and all existing forms of buying tickets and receiving standard tickets in person, via the post or collection will continue.
Carson added: “We are excited that we can now make good use of the latest enhancements including the print@home from the back office process. This will enable us to introduce a more efficient process and reduce costs for the club and fans alike. As a club we are committed to working with our partners to drive forward with new initiatives and technologies.”
