A pair of Chesterfield fans will walk to the Proact Stadium from Nottingham Forest's City Ground home next Saturday to raise funds for AshgateHospicecare.

Glynn Hinchcliffe and Keith Thompson-Pridd will circle the Notts County and Mansfield Town grounds on their way to Chesterfield in order to make it a 30-mile trip.
They calculate the walk will take nine-and-a-half hours and plan to arrive at the Proact in time for Chesterfield's game against Gillingham and enter the stadium to take applause from the fans.

Glynn, who is an IT lecturer at Chesterfield College, explained why he and his friend have taken on the challenge. He said: "We've both known people who've been cared for at AshgateHospicecare. Chesterfield College pledged to raise £30,000 for Ashgate this year and it would be great if we can add to that."

Named recently as Chesterfield's official charity partner this season, AshgateHospicecare cares for just over 2,000 patients and their families each year - equivalent to a patient for each seat in the Karen Child Stand at the Proact.
