Striker Caolan Lavery has extended his loan stay at the Proact Stadium until the end of the season.

The 22 year-old striker arrived from Sheffield Wednesday on transfer deadline day, already making a big impact for the Spireites in his time at the club.

The extension of the deal means that Canadian-born Lavery will be able to stay with Chesterfield until after the match with Sheffield United on May 3.

Lavery's last-minute winner against MK Dons last Tuesday was the third of his Spireites spell, having previously scored the winner at Notts County and in the 3-0 win over Fleetwood Town.

After agreeing to the extension Lavery tweeted: "Happy to have extended my loan with @ChesterfieldFC till the end of the season #Spireites"
