The wait is over and the Spireites now know their travel plans for 2015/16. Chief executive Chris Turner was quick to examine the list this morning and reacted to the fixtures.
The Spireites start the campaign off at home to Barnsley, with the short hop to Bramall Lane following quickly the following weekend.
Turner said: "It's very exciting when you look at the fixture list for the new season. We'll get right back into the swing of things with derbies against Barnsley and Sheffield United in the first two fixtures.
"We should have a full house for the opening day game against Barnsley, which will be great. Then we go to Sheffield United, which is one of those games you always look forward to."
With 46 league matches on an action-packed agenda, Turner's only disappointment comes with the match with Blackpool taking place midweek instead of at the weekend.
"Going to Blackpool on a Tuesday night is a little bit disappointing for the fans who look forward to spending a weekend there, but other than that we can't complain about how the fixtures have come out."
