Back in May Sean and Ryan Baller, aged 9 and 7, decided to stay at home and not to go to Tesco to help their dad with the shopping - and regretted it!

You see, in the aisles Sean and Ryan's dad and younger sister met up with Gary Roberts and Dan Gardner and the Spireites pair posed for a photo.

Sean picks up the story: "Well, a few weeks ago my dad and my sister went to Tesco while me and my brother were watching the Championship play-off semi-final.

"Unfortunately my dad then bumped into Gary Roberts and Dan Gardner and we were very unhappy about it. We were shown the photo of my sister with them by my dad and we were really annoyed.

"So we wrote a letter and Chesterfield FC invited us to have a picture with the players."

The club's media staff were able to intercept the letter sent to Roberts, and were keen to make sure the two young Spireites were able to come along to Sunday's open day and have a special opportunity to have some photos taken with the players.

With Roberts no longer around, Sean was able to pose with his current favourite player Jay O'Shea, while younger brother Ryan saw his hero Tommy Lee train and managed to grab a photo with the Spireites number one.

So what happens now when the boys are asked to help out with shopping? Sean explains: "Now when dad says to go to Tesco, we go!"
