The Chesterfieldd FC Memorial Garden, located behind the East Stand at the Proact Stadium, is nearing its first anniversary and to mark the occasion, a celebration evening is being held.

The first of what is set to become an annual event will celebrate the lives of Chesterfield FC supporters and players who have passed away. The event, expected to last around 45 minutes, is free and open to all to attend.
The names of players and supporters who’ve passed away in the last year will be read out in what is aimed at being an uplifting and celebratory event which will also feature live music.
Additionally, there will be the unveiling of a brand new feature in the garden which is believed to be a first at any football club in the world.
A number of former players and managers are scheduled to attend, including Jamie Hewitt, John Duncan, Kevin Randall, David Pugh, Adie Shaw, Martin Wright, Peter Bishop, Mick Henderson and Tom Fenoughty - and there will also be refreshments available.
