After the 4-0 win at Burton Albion last weekend the Chesterfield youth team will be hoping to continue their form as they take on Lincoln City on Saturday
Youth team coach Mark Smith is hoping that his squad can continue their run at the top-end of the table.
Smith said: "We just want to carry on this recent form and get back into it. We have had a decent week training, we've got through the Christmas period without any interruptions, so now all we will be doing is kick on until the end of the season"
The current home form for the young Spireites is very impressive, with victories including the 3-2 win over Premier League side Aston Villa in the FA Youth Cup.
"You always get a slight advantage when you're playing at home," said Smith. "We have done equally as well away from home as we have played at home. The game on Saturday is at Langer Lane, so the surface is decent and is conducive to our style of football"
Training is key to any side's success and, after a busy Christmas period, the players are training well and are back raring to go.
Smith said "We have got everything done that we needed to do during the training sessions. All the kids want to do is get into a game, so they can put it all into practise. We are on a decent run of form and we need to keep it going."
In the FA Youth Cup fifth round Chesterfield will face a trip to Everton or Southampton, if they beat Leicester City at the King Power Stadium next Monday.
The league game against Lincoln City this Saturday will take place at Langer Lane, kick-off is at 11am.
