This Friday at 1pm the Hub will be hosting it's first weekly Spireites Speak Easy meeting in the cafe.

This week a member of the management team will be attending the event and will sit down and speak informally with supporters about anything and all things Spireites.

The informal chats are free of charge to attend and all supporters are welcome to pop in and join in with the chat and grab a coffee.

John Croot from the Community Trust spoke a bit more about what the scheme hopes to promote.

He said: "It's a new weekly event that's happening in the Hub, in the cafe. All pretty relaxed really, we've got each week people from the club popping round and talking to fans.

"We've got quite a number of fans that come in now during the day and we just thought it was a great opportunity broaden communication and also allow people inside the club feel the pulse of what fans are thinking."

John also explained how the idea came about, when the club's chairman nipped in for refreshments recently.

John said: "The whole idea started when Dave Allen called in for a coffee one afternoon and, as Dave does, he got talking to supporters for what turned into a very long ten minutes.

"It was very popular in the way that it gave the fans a very informal opportunity to have a coffee, a bit to eat and have a chat about the Spireites."
