Sky Bet Midweek Odds Preview

27 January 2015

There are only two games tonight in League 1, and Sky Bet are on hand to give their betting odds for them.

Chesterfield v Crawley Town
A Chesterfield win would see them climb back into the play-off places and the Spireites are priced up at 8/15 with Sky Bet to take three points. Crawley sit at the opposite end of the table and despite some recent hopeful signs are offered at 5/1 to cause an upset at the Proact Stadium with the draw priced at 3/1. The cold facts are that Crawley have only won once on the road this season and that was on the opening day. Meanwhile, Chesterfield have only lost three home matches so far this season, suggesting that the visitors’ wait for a win away from home could continue. Armand Gnanduilet has scored twice in the last three home league matches for Chesterfield including the first goal against Port Vale. He could be the man to follow again.
Top Tip: Armand Gnanduilet to score first at 5/1.
Scunthorpe United v MK Dons
Karl Robinson’s MK Dons will return to the top of the table with a victory at Glanford Park and are odds-on favourites at 17/20 with Sky Bet to do just that. Scunthorpe, whose low position in the table reflects a very moderate start to the season - form which has been dramatically turned around in the last couple of months - are 3/1 to win. The draw is priced up at 13/5. MK Dons have drawn four of their last seven away fixtures, winning the other three, while although Scunthorpe have only won two of their last five home matches, their latest defeat to Bristol City was their first loss since October. This should be a good game, but Dele Alli has scored 12 times for MK Dons this season, including his goal at the weekend, and makes some appeal at 7/4 to score anytime in this match.
Top Tip: Dele Alli to score at any time at 7/4.
