Due to demand, the deadline for season ticket holders to claim their seats for Tuesday night's FA Cup replay has been extended again.Season ticket holders will now have until 12pm on Monday to claim their seats for the game against Scunthorpe United.
Tickets for the replay will not be sold at the ticket office on Saturday with Port Vale tickets only on sale that day. Ticket sales for the Scunthorpe match will resume at the ticket office on Monday morning.
The ticket office and Club Superstore staff have been working solidly over the last few days to cope with the demand for tickets and chief executive Chris Turner has thanked them for their efforts. He said: "I would like to praise them for their hard work and ask the fans who queue for tickets to be patient. It is disappointing to note that there has been some criticism from certain supporters.
"One supporter put a photo on social media yesterday showing one of the ticket booths closed, adding a critical comment. I would like to point out that the booth was closed for around ten minutes while a member of staff grabbed a quick sandwich. She had been in since 7.30am and had been working without a break! All three booths have been in operation for 95 per cent of the time. Staff have also been manning all the phone lines, which have also been very busy.
"The ticket office will be closed on Sunday but staff will still be coming in to process the large number of bookings made. I would urge supporters to take advantage of the online ticketing system, which can be accessed at any time. Many people have made online purchases for the game so far with sales worth around £15,000 over the last couple of days.
"I can appreciate that it is frustrating to have to wait in a queue for tickets but I can assure everyone that we are doing everything we can to process orders as quickly as possible. The fact that there is such a high demand for tickets is due to success on the field."
Tickets ordered online can be collected from Monday morning from the Proact Stadium ticket office.
