Left back Daniel Jones reflected on the result at Swindon Town, the forthcoming trip to Derby County in the FA Cup and coming back into the first team.
The Robins currently sit at the top of League 1 and Jones admits it was always going to be a tough trip for the Spireites.
Jones said: “They were very good on the ball and the formation that they play, they had runners from everywhere. All their team is comfortable on the ball, so you have to give them respect.
“The goals we gave away were very sloppy on our part, we played well today, their goals just came from our mistakes. We had as many chances as they did, but they took their chances.
“It was a lack of concentration from the team as a whole, it’s something we can work on, but it’s one of those things that we got punished from the mistakes that we made.
“We created some good chances, but we let ourselves down with the sloppiness. The third goal in the second half knocked the stuffing out of us straight away.”
The defeat halted the Blues' good run of form, and the Spireites have another formidable challenge coming up with Saturday's FA Cup trip to local rivals Derby County.
Jones commented: “The result today hasn’t done us any favours, but in next week’s game anything can happen.
“It’s going to be a great game for us, anything can happen on the day. We are all very excited and up for it.
“We will be the same and go into it like any other game. The gaffer will show us videos and tell us about certain players, but on our day we are a match for any team, especially the way we play, so we will definitely be going there to have a go.”
Jones, making his first start of 2015, played the full 90 minutes and came through without any ill-effects.
“I always enjoy playing football," said Jones. "I did have a little sulk about not playing, because I’m not happy not playing, but Sam Clucas has done very well.
“I feel fine, the physio has kept me fit and I've been doing extra work with him. It is a habit for me to keep my diet right; it gives me something to focus on. The physio has done very well to keep me right and I’m feeling good.”
